With war, comes sacrifice….

Ryneq and Nykin return home to find the lowland armies camped along Torsere’s borders. Seran wants the dragons, and with a new witch in his ranks, war is inevitable.

With the elves at his side, Ryneq fights to keep Seran and his soldiers at bay. But they’re not prepared for the witch using old dark magic. As Nykin and the dragon riders battle a deadly attack, an unexpected betrayal forces Ryneq to make a difficult decision.

Faced with the prospect of losing his kingdom, Ryneq gambles on a plan that could ultimately save Torsere, if only they can stay alive long enough to see it through.

Book Review

‘Alliance’ is the conclusion to the ‘Torsere’ series. Out of all the books, this one is the one where you will be on the edge of your seat throughout the whole read. It is high intensity and will leave you speechless and heartbroken several different times. In the end this book is about the battle that has been building up through the previous volumes. Lives will be lost and damage will be done, but in the end, will Torsere still be standing?

At the end of book two, Ryneq and Nykin knew that flying back to Torsere was the right decision because a very powerful witch has teamed up with their enemy and they plan to overtake the kingdom.

Ryneq and Nykin have not been together very long, but their bond is growing stronger each day. Along with their bond, the one between Nykin and his dragon, Fimor, is growing stronger each day as well. With imminent danger right around the corner, Ryneq and all of his army try to come up with the best solution to protect their kingdom. With each plan, it seems that the enemy is one step ahead. Not to mention the fact there is another traitor in their midst and this one is even closer to Ryneq that the last.

Everything is truly starting to look as if there is no possible way that they can defeat the enemy when they breach. Even with the Elves’ help, time is not on their side. When it comes to light that the witch is specifically after the dragons and riders, a plan is hatched that if the worst is to happen then the dragons and riders will leave for the Elven kingdom until they come up with a way to be able to come back and defeat the enemy.

This plan does not go over well with Nykin because he is afraid what will happen if Ryneq is captured. What will happen to the king and their kingdom if they cannot come up with a plan to take back their kingdom in time? What will happen once the new plan is set in motion if the worst was to happen? Can Nykin live with the consequences of what he may have to do in order to defeat the witch?

This book was such an incredible read! I had so many different emotions going through me as I read this book. I am sad that this was the last volume in this series but man, what a way to end it. It definitely went out with a bang! Incredible read and incredible series! Very highly recommended!
