Book Blurb

Four men, brought together by fate, connected in more powerful ways than they’d ever imagined.

Lidon, the powerful alpha-cop, determined to never trust another partner—until he helps a vulnerable omega through his heat and connects with him in a way that leaves him reeling.

Enar, the alpha-doctor who dedicates his life to serving omegas who need his help. He works himself to the bone, anything to drown out his inner voices that scream at him he’s not a real alpha.

Palani, the sassy beta reporter who will do anything to save his omega lover and childhood friend, even if it means watching another man claim him.

Vieno, the omega who suffers from a medical condition that requires an alpha’s help. It was supposed to be sex, but his attraction to the alpha goes much deeper. But how can he betray his soulmate and lover Palani like this?

When Vieno’s freedom is endangered, he needs Lidon to save him. The alpha steps up, but the consequences of his choice are more far-reaching than anyone of them had foreseen.

Four men try to figure out what they are to each other amidst political unrest, investigations into corruption and fraud, a medical issue that is far bigger and more sinister than it seemed at first, and old legends that are turning out to be real.

Book Review

Four different men who all find themselves in a relationship that they can’t begin to understand are at the heart of this first book in the ‘Irresistible Omegas’ series. In this extremely harsh and unforgiving world, alphas, betas, and omegas all have their own difficulties. It’s a world where they know their ancestors were all wolfshifters but somehow, in the past few generations, they have lost the ability to shift and now are only left with the traits inherent to their social station. In this world, much like in the reality of today, it would appear that only powerful, wealthy alphas with no moral code have everything they could ever want, with betas being second, and omegas being at the bottom rung of the ladder with zero rights and mostly deemed to be someone’s property. Lidon, Enar, Palani, and Vieno are all good men who find themselves in a situation that society won’t understand, much less condone, but it’s one where they have to work together to find their way.

Lidon is an alpha and a cop, and even though he was born into wealth, he is an honorable man who sometimes can be a little naïve about the reality of the world he lives in. Regardless that he is the epitome of what society says a man should be, Lidon is tired of being wanted for everything except who he is. Enar is alpha born but lacks some of the true alpha nature, going so far as to engage in what society deems unacceptable sexual behavior with another alpha. Luckily, he and Lidon have been best friends since kindergarten and Lidon keeps his secret. Enar devotes his life as a doctor to helping omegas in need, sometimes even illegally, while trying desperately to figure out how to change the perceptions and attitudes in his world.

Palani is a beta and a reporter who has loved his best friend since they were just children. He did an investigative exposé on dirty cops which has led to more than one instance of retaliation. Vieno is an omega who carries the Melloni gene – a gene which makes him more fertile and more able to survive childbirth than other male omegas, but it also increases his heat/pheromone levels and causes him to behave in ways that go against his sweet nature while not in heat. It is because of this gene that Vieno’s parents disowned him after his fiancé claimed he wasn’t a virgin while the alpha-hole brought in two friends to help him rape poor Vieno. Vieno loves Palani and is scared of an alpha after everything he’s experienced.

After three years of barely surviving using heat suppressants, Vieno’s body can no longer go without the knotting it so desperately needs from a virile alpha. Palani is given Enar’s name but once Enar sees the situation, he knows only an alpha will do – one unlike him who must take suppressants due to his job and hasn’t got a high enough level of hormones to relieve Vieno. Enar calls in Lidon and once Lidon is faced with Vieno and the difficulties he is struggling with, Lidon helps him through his heat. But a connection is formed between the two men. And another between Enar and Palani. No one is looking for it. Nevertheless, it happens. Now what to do?

I was reading along, quite happily I might add, when suddenly my very favorite thing in the whole world happened. ‘Alpha’s Sacrifice’ went from being a really good worldbuild, multiple-partners type story to something I hadn’t seen coming. I was beyond excited about the possibilities this new-to-me author was introducing. There’s mystery and intrigue surrounding a small pharmaceutical company that seems to have discovered, in a very short time, two of the most incredible drugs for helping omegas through their heats and a very effective birth control pill. There’s more mystery concerning why these drugs seem to not be as available to omegas as they should be. Throw in Lidon’s suspicions regarding a fellow cop who oversees white crime….. but doesn’t seem to be doing his job, and my Spidey-senses were tingling. Then there’s the possible ramifications of the Melloni gene and what Palani has discovered through his investigation and there’s a ton of stuff going on in this world which it appears Lidon, Enar, Palani, and Vieno are all smack-dab in the middle of. Oh and let’s not forget the potential mating between three of these men….. or is it four?

I was hooked very quickly on these characters and the plot. So much so, in fact, that I’m jumping straight into the next book in the series because I’ve got to see where this is heading. If you like different worldbuilds with fascinating characters and a whole lot of intrigue, not to mention scorching-hot sex, then I can guarantee you’ll like this as much as I do.
