Book Blurb

There came a point where I began to believe life was perfect. I was married to the sexiest Italian ever trained to be a SWAT officer, I had two beautiful little girls, and more friends than I could count. And then my world fell out from beneath my feet, and I discovered that evil was alive and well and coming for me. I had two choices. I could hide in my panic room or spit in the devil's face.

I spit in the devil's face.

Protecting my family from the evil in the world would be a whole lot easier if I wasn't married to Lany, but I wouldn't change a second of our life together, no matter what came our way. I just wished my gorgeous husband wasn't such a hot mess. When the devil arrived on our doorstep and threatened all I held dear, I did the only thing I could.

I spit in the devil's face.

Book Review

I actually believed ‘Hot Mess 4’ was going to be it in this series. I mean, it wrapped so many things up, plus Lany and Sal ended up being gifted with two beautiful twin girls to adopt. It seemed to be the perfect place to make the finale. Silly me. I should have realized that Stormy Glenn would have more antics for these two to get up to, along with throwing parenthood into the mix!

Really, Stormy? You had to go there? You're lucky I adore you and your writing. Lany is a mess, a hot mess, to be exact. He went through twelve cars before he met Sal. The last one he drove through a circus tent, the elephant sat on it, and they had to use the jaws of life to get him out. In the four years he and Sal have been together, if anything bad can happen, it usually does. To Lany. Sal has gotten used to some of it but he'd like to wrap the love of his life in bubble wrap. So, I suppose I shouldn't be surprised at this latest accident and resulting issue. And no, I'm not telling. It's a spoiler. Not a giant spoiler, but still…

I think Sal and Lany need to not celebrate their anniversary ever again. In fact, they shouldn't mention it, or write it on the calendar. Every year something bad has happened the week of their anniversary and this year is no different. Instead of Lany being the one in trouble, however, Sal is the one who gets kidnapped by the bad guys. Oh I could empathize with Lany’s worry and helplessness. It sucks when there's nothing you can do to save your loved one. Of course with their luck, it wasn't too long before the roles were reversed, and Sal was desperately trying to find Lany.

I absolutely adore these novellas. A great ending and some potential for a few breakout stories with secondary characters, Ms. Glenn? I can definitely read more of Sal and Lany as I've grown rather fond of them! *grins*
