Book Blurb

Oren longs to find a man to dominate him and help him loosen the reins on his regimented life, but he's more comfortable alone with his violin than interacting with people. When he finally works up the nerve to go to a BDSM club, he sees Foster, a fellow professor he's lusted after for months, pleasuring a young man while several people watch. Foster recognizes him, but Oren flees, too embarrassed to stay and talk to the man.

The next week, Foster asks Oren to dinner with the intention of finding out what he was seeking at the club. The shy musician confesses his forced seduction kink, and Foster can barely contain his excitement.

When Foster proposes they explore Oren's fantasy on Valentine's Day, Oren knows this will be the first year the holiday brings more pleasure than pain.

Book Review

Valentines come in all shapes and sizes, and, as this story shows, even a negotiated scene of BDSM play can bring unexpected benefits for both parties. Oren is an introverted music professor who is too shy to go out to meet someone, never mind ask for what he wants in the bedroom. Foster is a fellow professor and not shy at all – he loves to dominate men and has been doing it for years. But it takes an unexpected encounter at a BDSM club for the two men to realize they may just be the perfect fit.

Not having read any of the previous books in this series I wasn’t sure what to expect. I was pleasantly surprised both with how much emotion the author was able to pack into this standalone short story and how interesting both characters are. Oren and Foster are extremely hot together and “negotiated nonconsent” is exactly what they both need. Adding the romance of Valentine’s day to the mix was a nice touch, and the result is a good mix between sweet and kinky that I really enjoyed.

If you like Valentine’s Day stories that contain both romance and heat, if you think two professors can be a lot less restrained than you might expect, and if you’re looking for an entertaining read, then you will probably like this free short story.
