Book Blurb

Revving it Up, a BDSM story collection, brings together four stories that explore different aspects of BDSM. Hot and sexy, these stories sizzle right off the page.

In Revving it Up, Byron likes Jon but the spark seems to be gone. Or is it? A game of truth or dare and a plug just might be exactly what they need. Meanwhile, ten years ago Finn walked away from Tone and the BDSM lifestyle. Today Finn walked out of the kitchen and back into Tone’s life. Could it be too good to be true? Find out in Serving Mr. Right

Next, two couples explore the lifestyle, but from different angles in Spot the Difference. Could twins Christopher and Robin both find exactly what they’re looking for on the same night? Or is it too big of a coincidence to be real?

Finally, in Digging for Gold, Dusty’s job is to get Kenn and his injured shoulder back into shape in time for the Olympics. Will the beach volleyball player be able to focus on getting better and keep his hands off his new trainer?

Revving It Up
This is a fun story, very sexy, and definitely on the kinky side. Jon and Bryan have been dating for six months and are extremely well-suited to each other, even if they had no idea how much. They start out liking each other well enough, but when they discover they share a love of plugs, the affair becomes hot and heavy within minutes. I think it's really funny they find out over a dare – which gives Bryan the "excuse" he needs to let Jon know he's wearing a plug for their date.

Bryan is shy, maybe a little repressed, but he adores Jon. Little does he know his lover has a kinkier side, but the fact that he kept the plug in for their date says a lot about Bryan's willingness to experiment.  He may not come right out and say it, but his actions speak louder than words.

Jon has no idea how to tell Bryan about his plug collection, and his enjoyment of a little dominance in the bedroom. He really likes Bryan but thinks he might run if he finds out. Jon's delight when he realizes there is no reason to fear Bryan turning away from him, it opens the floodgates to some very sexy play.

If you like stories about men who discover a new side to their lover, if you enjoy a lot of bedroom activity in your books, and if you're looking for a hot read with quite a bit of humor, you will probably enjoy this short story.

Serving Mr. Right
This is a story about two men who are meant to be a couple – except neither of them are ready for it when they first get together. What is mentioned about their past as they meet for the second time in their lives, made me think they were simply too young. Finn was too afraid to admit he wanted a BDSM relationship with Tone as his Master, and Tone was not mature enough to manage and guide Finn to show him how good they could be together. Ten years later both have grown up, neither has found a permanent partner, and they are very lucky (or destined by fate) to be offered a second chance when Tone visits Finn's extremely successful restaurant.

Finn is, basically, a brat. He is also afraid to admit how much he needs to be dominated and the fact he likes a bit of pain with his pleasure. The time away from Tone, while it seemed permanent with a breakup as bad as they had, did him a world of good. He is now settled professionally, if not personally, and when he sees Tone in his super successful restaurant, he is floored. Not just because the man "who got away" is back, but because Tone apologizes for the way things happened. That gives Finn the courage to try again.

Tone is a dominant to the core, but he needed time to grow up and realize there is a bit of "give" even for a Master. I suspect he may have occasionally gotten confused as to how much it was his right to determine everything in his and Finn's relationship, and he has since learned that a BDSM relationship is a true two-way street. He definitely knows how to handle himself and Finn when they do get together again – and boy, is it hot when he does pick up the reins!

The title of this story, 'Serving Mr. Right', has a wonderful double meaning: Finn serves Tone many wonderful meals in his restaurant, but he also ends up "serving" him in the bedroom. Of course, the latter is true for Tone as well, even though a Master taking care of his sub isn’t called serving. But as in all good BDSM relationship, these guys complement each other and each man ends up taking care of his partner.

If you like finding out how men who are clearly meant to be together sometimes take a little longer to make things work, if you enjoy the interplay between a bratty sub who fights his own needs almost all the way and his devious, yet patient Master, and if you're looking for a read that is as hot as it is touching, then you will probably like this short story.

Spot the Difference
Twins can be as fascinating in real life as they can be as characters in stories – especially for those of us, like me, who were not born with someone who looks pretty much exactly like our own mirror image. And as much as Robin and Christopher of this story may look alike, and want the same type of partner (a Dom), the kind of Dom they are looking for is different. Neither of them have had much luck, and it was fun to watch them go through commiserating about that.

Robin is all about sensation, and isn’t really into the lifestyle 24/7. He wants someone to give him what he likes in the bedroom, but nor expect any “service” beyond that, and he isn’t interested in getting beaten up. Barista Core, having overheard Robin’s wish list, throws his hat in the ring and from the heat that follows when he takes Robin home, I’d say the two of them look like a great fit

Christopher is more into the whole idea of submission full-time, but doesn’t want to get beaten up or ignored either. He is also, like Robin, looking for love, not just a sexual partner. When Darren approaches him, he is surprised and a little scared, but curiosity wins out. The way Darren behaves and the hot action that unfolds lets me hope that Christopher has found his match as well.

If you’re looking for a quick, entertaining read about twins who may look alike but want something different out of a partner, if you enjoy the playful side of BDSM, and if you want a read that is as hot as it is short, then you will probably like this short story.

Digging for Gold
Definitely on the hotter side of romantic, this story about an injured athlete trying to heal and find his feet again in time for the world championship and the Olympics had me engaged in the character's struggle from the start. Not only does the athlete have issues, the trainer who has been hired to make sure his shoulder has time to heal has his own problems. The one thing they have in common is their attraction to each other, and they use that to great advantage – once they admit to themselves and each other that it may be their greatest strength.

Kenn loves beach volleyball and all he wants to do is play. Like so many athletes, all the politics around sponsors and the pressure to perform are not half as important or interesting as the game itself. He pushes himself pretty hard – and that is his biggest problem. A re-injury of his shoulder would mean he can forget the medals. Learning to listen to Dusty and trust that the man knows what he is doing is as hard for Kenn as fighting for his rights and independence when confronting his overbearing father and tyrannical coach.

Dusty is a trainer with a mission – although this one turns out to be slightly different in the way it pans out. Used to having to motivate his athletes to work hard, he is finding that the key to Kenn's success will be to hold him back, so he doesn’t injure his shoulder more by going back into full training too early. Others interfering in this plan annoy him to no end, and the increasing attraction he feels for Kenn doesn’t help. Standing up to people who don’t have Kenn's best interests at heart is not a problem for him – doing it without Kenn's full support is.

These two men are explosive together. The hard physical training and discipline requires relaxation to balance the stress – and once they hit their stride, boy do they "relax" hard together. If you like stories about athletes and their trainers getting up to more than on-the-job activities, if you enjoy the tension caused by trying to be at your best physically, and if you're looking for a fun, sexy read, you will probably like this story.
