All his life, people have been leaving Savaro Anatolis. The only people he can count on are his father and brothers. When sexy pro-basketball player Jamal Kendricks walks in to Savaro’s restaurant and demands to try his honey buns, Savaro knows he has to keep this sexy morsel at arm’s length.

Jamal Kendricks wants out of the spotlight for a while--he wants to go somewhere he can at least pretend to be normal and consider what team to sign with next. But he didn’t prepare for Savaro, his two brothers and fighting demons from Savaro’s past. Is love strong enough to save Savaro, or is their relationship doomed from the start?

Book Review

A cute start to this series, which pulled me in from the first chapter. Savaro met two boys in the orphanage he grew up in and they decided to be brothers and to stick together come what may. The moment of truth in the orphanage was very touching and provided me with great background for the story that followed – when Savaro is all grown up and works hard on making his dreams come true.

Savaro has fulfilled one of his aspirations: he owns a restaurant and makes the best honey buns in Eros, the city his father and brothers live in. He may be successful professionally, but he is lonely. He doesn’t trust easily because he has been disappointed too many times. But when Jamal comes along all caution seems to fly out the window

Jamal may be a celebrity basketball player, but he is very lonely and always suspicious that men want him because he is famous. The physical heat between these two is overpowering though, and while that is rarely a good basis for a relationship in real life, in fiction it can work. Even so, they have a few obstacles to overcome if they want to build a lasting relationship.

If you like insta-love and lots of emotion, if you enjoy reading about two men generating enough heat for almost-spontaneous combustion every time they look at each other, and if you’re not looking for lots of conflict, you may like this novella.
