Book Blurb

A snowstorm in the South—on New Year’s Eve—is a perfect recipe for a catastrophe. After two soul-crushing bad breaks, Kirk’s waiting for disaster number three to strike when, naturally, two stray cats arrive on his doorstep during the storm and decide to make themselves at home. Tenderhearted Kirk lets them stay even though there’s something decidedly odd about his overly friendly felines.

Out of the punishing weather and full of tuna, Dolf and Tal are happy to be snug in Kirk’s house. But then their human goes outside for firewood and suffers a nasty fall that leaves him unconscious. Now the two cats have no choice but to reveal themselves.

Kirk wakes up to find the two kitties are actually Dolf and Tal. They’re cat shifters—and his destined mates. Being part of a feline threesome is enough for Kirk to grapple with, but soon he learns they come from a clowder that doesn’t believe humans and shifters should mix. Kirk knew those two cats would be trouble. Little does he know the real trouble lies ahead.

Book Review

"The newcomer was slightly smaller than the black cat. They sat there, side by side. The black one stared at me as if I were nuts for standing there with the door wide open. Then the white cat turned sad, weird blue eyes looking up at me, and made the most pitiful, heartbreaking meow I’ve ever heard from any creature."

Kirk is no more able to harden his heart to these two gorgeous cats, on New Year's Eve, in a snowstorm, than I could. It sure seems like his life is going down the crapper these days, though. Kirk and his boyfriend broke up right before Christmas, and then practically every appliance in his house has broken down. Add in these two stray cats and Kirk is a believer in the trouble comes in threes. Yeah, well, he ain't seen nothing yet.

Kirk is more than a little confused when Tal and Dolf tell him about shifters and being their fated mate. Especially the part where he's their mate, since Tal and Dolf have been mates for over thirty years. It made perfect sense, to me, however. Dolf is next in line to be alpha of their clowder, while Tal is an omega. The goddess has seen fit to bless these two with the perfect man—for both of them. Kirk is strong, more dominant than Tal, but able to give in when Tal needs it, and Kirk has no problem standing up to Dolf. Their strengths and weaknesses are wonderful complements.

Life, however, isn't all wonderful, sex-filled days of love and acceptance. Apparently, the paranormals in this world the author has created do not think highly of humans. They tolerate them, barely, and they certainly don't trust them. So Tal and Dolf mating a human is not accepted by quite a few within the paranormal community.

A delightful story filled with laughter, a whole lot of sexual heat, and love. Kirk, Dolf, and Tal are easy guys to like, the story was fun, and the sex was hot. Honestly? What more could you want?
