General Information
Rainbow Book Reviews is an all volunteers, non-profit site dedicated to GLBTQ-related books, reviews, and authors who write about topics of interest to the GLBTQ community and its allies.
We have a wide range of activities for you to check and participate in, if you wish. Feedback is always welcome. We publish new releases on a daily basis, have a team of reviewers who try to help you understand what to expect from a book, we publish the occasional author interview, and have author pages with in-depth information. You can also find out about the many great publishers who publish GLBTQ-related books.
We want to make sure the site offers what YOU want to see, so please contact us with any ideas or feedback at info@rainbowbookreviews.com. For individual staff members, please see the overview below.
For Authors:
Any authors who would like an author page, please write to us at info@rainbowbookreviews.com.

Review Philosophy
We believe that reader tastes vary widely, and that all books will have fans as well as people who do not like them. Every book contains something worthwhile, and something to like. We do not believe that every book will be liked by everyone. We also think that there are quite a number of review sites out there that are critical to extremely critical, and we do not believe it is our task to add to that list.
What happens if one of our reviewers doesn't like a book?
We will not publish the review; but we will inform the author/publisher who submitted the book. We will then return the book to our team list for another reviewer to pick up. They might like the book better, and if they do, we will publish that review.
Our Team of Reviewers:
Active Reviewers
Barb - I am a long-term romance reader and have focused primarily on MM romance in the past nine years, though I also read FF and MF in both romance and literary works. Basically, I read for the joy of discovering new characters and experiences and nearly always have a book (or ebook) in hand and an audiobook queued up and ready to go. I'm also an editor and proofreader so it's obvious I love my work!
Bob-O-Link - I'm a retired professional. My husband and I, each with an ex-wife, between us have six married children and ten grandchildren. We both read voraciously, with a strong leaning to gay romance and HEA. Stories with a little (okay, even loads of) sex, and a lot of tears, always pleases.
Christy Duke - I am a reader and reviewer of m/m books in many genres and tropes. I love paranormal, urban fantasy, contemporary, BDSM, omegaverse, mpreg, and science-fiction. I like many different sexual orientations, pairings and age groups. Basically, I'm pretty open-minded to reading just about anything that catches my fancy.
Forgottenastronauts - Reading has become such a huge part of my life as an adult. I love the escape, but I also try to take something from each story for myself. I am a lover of words. I love dialogue. I love a slow burn and a happy ever after. Favorite authors: Garrett Leigh, Amy Lane, Mary Calmes, Lane Hayes, T.J. Klune, Roan Parrish, N.R. Walker, Cara Dee, Anyta Sunday.
Kristin F. - I have been a voracious reader from the time I learned how to read. My motto: "Never leave home without a book (or two or three)." Though once I learned how to knit that became "Never leave home without a book (or two or three) AND a knitting project." A long-time fan of science fiction, I've since discovered mystery/suspense/thrillers and m/m romance. I love stories that span the universe, paranormal, urban fantasy, mystery, comedy; stories with veterinarian's (yay! animals!) or a men in uniform, a splash of BDSM or a threesome can be fun, and of course, happy ever afters. IF that's not a run-on sentence, I don't know what is... I'm not a fan of historical, horror, sports, plots with children, and New Adult/Young Adult. Thanks for reading my reviews! "No two persons ever read the same book." - Edmund Wilson
Lena Grey - Reviewer of gay books
nakin1978 - Hello, I am an avid reader of male/male books. I do not have a favorite genre when it comes to male/male books because I love all of them from romance, dark reads, paranormal, shifter, threesome, whatever I see that catches my eye at the time. I read books about rock stars, CEOs, military, cops, and just the original plain old good boy types of books. Basically when it comes to a book, I read whatever I am in the mood for at the time. So my tastes varies from day to day and sometimes even hour to hour.
ParisDude - Dieter, born and raised in Austria, studied Political Sciences in Vienna in the early 90s. He's living in Paris, France, with his boyfriend and working as a graphic designer. In his spare time, he loves to write, read, cook, take photos, and travel as often as possible. He has already published two short-story collections as well as four poetry collections. His first murder mystery novel 'The Stuffed Coffin' featuring Damien Drechsler and the dashing Greek student Nikos has been released on January 6, 2019, and is available in English, French, and German. By the way, the French version 'Le cercueil farci' has won the prestigious Prix du roman gay 2019 in the category murder mystery. Dieter runs a gay book reviews site in French and is also writing reviews for Rainbow Book Reviews under the pseudonym of ParisDude.
Ro - I am a special education teacher who escapes into books at every opportunity. I read a variety of genres but MM remains my favorite. I am a huge fan of sweet and adorable books. I love novellas and short stories the most. I live in the Midwest, which means long winters to stay inside and read.
Roger - I’m an author of gay fiction (four novels at the moment), an avid reader, and a book reviewer. I regularly publish my reviews on my book blog at rogersreads.com, on Goodreads, and on Amazon. I enjoy both LGBTQ adult and Young Adult stories and like a variety of genres: contemporary, romance (especially slow burn!), M/M, coming of age, paranormal, sci-fi (especially time travel), thriller, mystery and urban fantasy. I am ot really a fan of BDSM, threesomes, or Mpreg however; but apart from that, I’m open to pretty much anything.
