Dorien Grey
Dorien Grey and Roger Margason are not so much a true split personality as conjoined personalities, each with his own duties and responsibilities. Roger, the corporeal part of the team, takes care of the day-to-day aspects of living--eating, paying bills, breathing, etc.--thus enabling the non-corporeal Dorien to concentrate on writing books and doing/being whatever strikes his fancy at the moment.
Dorien emerged full-blown, like Athena from the sea, in 2000, with the publication of the first book in the Dick Hardesty Mystery series. Thirteen other books in that series have followed, four of which have been finalists for Lambda Literary awards. The most recent book in the series is The Peripheral Son. Free to do more than one thing at a time, Dorien has also produced the stand-alone Western-romance-adventure-mystery, Calico and then set off on authoring the Elliott Smith paranormal mystery series, which alternates books with the Dick Hardesty series. Work is nearing completion on Dante's Circle, the fourth book in the Elliott Smith series.
Jointly with Roger, he writes a blog every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, which appears on his website (http://www.doriengrey.com), on Facebook, Google+, Open Salon, and Dorien Grey and Me (http://www.doriengrey.blogspot.com) and tries to keep up with numerous social media sites and groups. In his spare time he curls up on the floor in the fetal position and sings little songs to himself.
You are invited to read the complete first chapter of any of Dorien's books, which can be found in or on order from any bookstore or online bookseller, on his website. He would love nothing better than to add you to his growing list of readers.
Dorien Grey died on November 1, 2015.
