Who knew taking my little mage on a date would be so difficult?

With so much change happening at the house—three shifter kids are a lot to handle—Mads and I have been too busy to spend much alone time together. So I figured a date night was in order.

Too bad every time we try, we have to put a fire out somewhere. At this rate, I’m not sure I’ll ever get to take my mage on a date.

Book Review

Another welcome novella from Cosmo’s POV, ‘A Date to Impress Him’ was a little more lighthearted than what I’ve seen so far. Although, these books are not doom and gloom, and I apologize of my previous reviews in the series have made it seem so. But there is significant prejudice in this world and anyone with a heart would feel for the shifters and magi.

Cosmo wants to take Madeo on a real date so badly as they haven’t had any quality time just the two of them in the last weeks. They both love the new additions to their pride – Haidan, Elzanna, and Teo – but another teenager, a five-year-old and a four-year old certainly bring an extra something to their pride. Haidan, especially, is struggling from having survived the witches so he’s particularly needy right now. It’s so sweet to watch Mads with him. The children’s former alpha was a jerk and Cosmo is working extra hard to get Haidan to trust him.

They finally think they are actually on a date when Ry calls because Logan hurt himself at his job and was taken to the hospital for stitches. When they get there, they discover the EMTs just left Logan on the human side, didn’t triage him, and worse – one of them slapped him across the face. I had murderous intentions right alongside Mads and Cos. It’s so sad that Cos had to threaten the hospital staff with the SWC before they were able to take Logan to the non-human side to be treated.

They finally got their date and it was absolutely perfect for them! I just adore these guys and am having so much fun with this series.
