Jack Cade, of 'Acts of Passion' by Sedonia Guillone, is a seasoned homicide detective who believes he has seen everything. However, when the death of his current case's victim appears to be a suicide staged in a particular manner, he seeks assistance in unraveling the truth. Jack didn't expect the consultant to be so young and handsome.

Dr. Michael DiSanto carefully examines the scene and concludes that despite the appearance of suicide, the evidence suggests murder. Jack is surprised by Dr. DiSanto's keen observation skills and asks how he does it. Dr. DiSanto reluctantly admits that his ability to see and speak with spirits enables him to receive information not ordinarily available. Jack is initially unsure but becomes a believer after witnessing Dr. DiSanto communicate with the victim's spirit.

 

It's unexpected when their business relationship blossoms into something more, but it's also mutually advantageous. As they get to know each other, they share secrets. Michael vows to support him for as long as he needs him.
