Book Blurb

If they don’t take their shot, they may miss out on each other.

When Special Agent Zane Garrett is tapped as backup for an undercover operation in Chicago, the last person he’s expecting to see is Ty Grady. Ty—Zane’s partner, in every sense of the word—had vanished from Zane’s bed, leaving nothing but a note. He’d been radio silent ever since.

Before they can work out what’s going on between them, they have to collect a particularly challenging mark. Julian Cross is a retired hit man and CIA operative with a wide array of specialized skills, and he’s currently using all of them to achieve a singular goal: get away from Ty and Zane. Luckily, the two agents have an ace in the hole. Julian will go quietly as long as his boyfriend, the doe-eyed Cameron Jacobs, is brought along for protection.

Julian retired to love Cameron in the open, and watching the two of them is putting thoughts in Ty’s head. He’s tired of keeping his partnership with Zane a secret. As the four of them are chased across the country by a cadre of mysterious killers, their friends and family are pulled into the crosshairs as well. Ty and Zane will have to decide where their priorities lie, before it’s too late.

Book Review

Another insanely excellent book. I keep waiting to be disappointed because honestly by book five in a series there is usually something I am not so keen on. But Ty and Zane keep me constantly wanting more.

Ty and Zane are reunited after a week apart, sent on an under the table side job as a favor for Burns. What's the job? Apprehending and escorting a federal informant and his boyfriend back to DC. Who's the informant? None other than Julian Cross and his boyfriend Cameron Jacobs from Warrior's Cross another book by this author.

As I'm sure you can imagine this isn't as simple as hopping a plane in Chicago to go back to DC. Oh no. Not for our guys. Because you see, Julian doesn't want to go back to DC. And he's no more an informant than I am. Julian Cross is an ex-CIA wet works operative hiding from his former boss. His former boss illegally used CIA assets to handle his own murder for hire business. So now, Ty and Zane are struggling to get these two back to DC through bad cars, bad weather, bad driving, bad hotels, bad coffee, bad boats, bad best friends, bad brothers, bad showers and plenty of rogue CIA agents trying to kill them.

As is usual for our guys they are at their best when everything else has gone to crap. Let’s just say that I would have loved to be a fly on the wall for this trip. I literally can't get enough of these two.
