Book Review

This last story within 'Uncommon Romance' takes place during a three week FBI anti-terrorist training session where the majority of the students are in their twenties and apparently recruited FBI trainees. Special Agent Beverly Hollis is in charge of the session and it turns out that she is in charge of much more. There is apparently going to be a D/s involvement for Hollis with a student sent to the training session from a police department. Both Hollis and the student are in their forties and neither are new to a dominant/submissive relationship. Oh gosh, this was not only quite fascinating but incredibly hot. What an electrifying story to complete this collection. I certainly recommend Hollis and the preceding novellas!

Jude Lassiter is currently a detective with the Portland police department. Several of her associates had been sent to this anti-terrorist session and now her captain insisted she attend. She arrives a day late due to work responsibilities but that still displeases Hollis. Jude does many things that displease Hollis on her first day to be quietly directed at one point with the command "I want you in my office". Therein lies the start of an amazingly intriguing relationship.

Hollis functions as if she is in supreme control of everything around her, everyone under her jurisdiction, and apparently the direction of her life. This is true for practically all of the private sessions she has with Jude. The interplay between these two was oh so magnificent. From my perspective, it was definitely worth the price of admission!

The tantalizing formal and by the rules liaison between Jude and Hollis commanded my attention in a manner I have never experienced before. I was totally captivated by the interplay and the manner in which things evolved between Jude and Hollis. Frankly, I reread this story four times and continued to be astounded. This romance of sorts was unbelievably startlingly for me and I recommend it wholeheartedly!
