Will Jacko find love among the sunflowers?
After losing his family’s station in Australia to the bank, Jacko Hennesy moves in with his best mate, Lochie McBride. Trouble is, Lochie already has a roommate—his new lover, Jamie. Trying to settle into everyday life with two men isn’t as easy as Jacko had hoped. Although he’s been in love with his best friend for years, Jacko also finds himself attracted to Jamie. Watching the constant flirting and touching every day is enough to reduce the tough bushman to a puddle of need. What’s a bloke to do when he falls for two sexy men?
Publisher's Note: This book is a sequal to Harvest Heat and is best read in sequence. This book has previously been released elsewhere. It has been revised and re-edited for re-release with Pride Publishing.
First of all, I have to say that the title of this book is very accurate – this story is full of all three elements mentioned, but mainly the smexy part. After Jamie and Lochie’s fast and furious romance in the previous book, they are just barely beginning to settle down when Jacko enters the equation in full force – he moves in because he lost his family’s farm and because he has been friends with Lochie for many years. As it turns out, he has also wished for more than friendship… and the fireworks are about to begin.
Jacko is not a homewrecker, and even though he is severely tempted by Lochie – no news there – and now by Jamie as well – which shocks him to no end, he is determined to keep his wishful dreaming to himself. Jamie and Lochie are each fighting similar battles – they are both attracted to Jacko but it takes them a while to find the courage to talk about it. Neither of them wants to endanger what they have. It’s a good thing they are as close and as honest with each other as they have learned to be, because without that, this would not have ended well.
But the “battle” between the three men who are trying to find a new balance is not the only one they face. Old friends and new enemies alike have their own issues, and one man in particular turns to violence that puts everyone at risk. It forces the three lovers to take a look at who they are and who they want to be, and between the two tough Aussies and the former American lawyer, this sparks a lot of tension – on top of the external threats they have to deal with.
If you like stories where lust grows into more between an existing couple and a relative newcomer, if you like three-way relationships with a few complications, and if you’re looking for a read that is scorching with a touch of suspense and a wonderful setting in Australia, then you will probably like this novella.
