A ghost comes to Michael for help, his first case since discovering his special skill set. The problem is, he unleashes an evil that’s been in hiding and will do anything to stay that way…

My life has always been strange. Now, it is strange on steroids. In my first night of the grief counseling support group for teens, there's a girl who looks like she walked off the set of
The Brady Bunch even though it's 1985. Turns out, I’m the only person in the room who sees her. After the meeting, she comes up to me, wanting me to get her closure with the boyfriend who thinks she abandoned him seventeen years ago.

But she’s not the only one here who needs help. This gorgeous kid from Japan, hiding in the meeting from people who are planning to murder him, and who doesn't speak English, has something to tell me only I will believe.

I promised my family I’d stay out of dangerous situations and now, the first time I set foot outside since my life blew up weeks earlier, I’ve already broken that promise ten times over.

Book Review

“Permanence, perseverance and persistence in spite of all obstacles, discouragements, and impossibilities: It is this, that in all things distinguishes the strong soul from the weak.” ~ Thomas Carlyle

Michael, of 'The Boy Who Loves Ghosts' by Sedonia Guillone, is still reeling from pain and guilt after losing his younger brother. Michael promised his family that he would stay out of dangerous situations from now on, but it weighs on his soul. Despite his promises, he offers his help to Kiku, a young Japanese man who is hiding from his aunt and uncle, who want to kill him.

Using his unique ability to communicate with the dead, Michael looks for ways to help Kiku while helping Dina, a young girl's ghost, by letting her boyfriend know that she didn't choose to leave him but disappeared because someone murdered her.

Michael's quest to help Kiku is intense and challenging, but they find a way to work it out. However, Dina's situation is more convoluted and sinister. If Michael can't fit all the clues together in time, everyone around him could be in peril.

'The Boy Who Loved Ghosts' is a whirlwind of emotions, fraught with danger and suspense. Although several storylines are going on simultaneously, I love how Sedonia sends them out like spokes and intricately weaves them back together. Thank you, Sedonia. I'm looking forward to reading the next book in the series.
