Everyone loves opening presents at Christmas. Especially when they know they're getting what they want. But what do you do when you open a present and find that it could change your life for better or worse?
This story is short, sweet, has a wonderful little twist, and will probably make you laugh when you realize what's going on. It is told entirely from Evan's point of view, which makes it pretty effective, since he is the one who causes the misunderstanding, then slowly gathers what has been going on. I was right there with him!
Evan doesn’t think he's done anything particularly bad. He may hate the ugly pseudo-reindeer suit disguised as a Christmas present when he opens it early, but he figures a simple refusal to wear it will solve the problem. Well, it might for him, but when he tells Cole, the man is devastated. In fact, he leaves the house and doesn’t even respond to Evan's frantic phone calls.
If you like stories that will make you guess what is going on, if you enjoy a bit of a misunderstanding that leads to a lot of making-up sex, and if you like a bit of drama in your Christmas stories, give this one a try. I am pretty sure it will make you chuckle. And you don’t even need to have read the first book (I didn’t) to enjoy this one – although I am sure you'll enjoy it even more if you have.
