Alfie and Sebastian, of 'The Dapper Detective' by Dez Schwartz, are eager to settle into the next phase of their lives, personally and professionally. Helping Sebastian sort out murder cases is far better than enhancing Madam Olivia's psychic powers. Alfie is looking forward to it.

First on Sebastian and Alfie's agenda is an extended vacation somewhere quiet and peaceful. They need time to be alone together to deepen their relationship. But before they can leave, they are lured into a missing person case and possibly murder investigation because those missing belong to the local population's supernatural beings.

 

Sebastian and Alfie know that Sebastian's boss will not take the incidents seriously because of his disdain for supernaturals but they are hesitant about becoming involved. However, after being persuaded by several others, including Francis, the Coven Leader of the Vampires, they decide to try.

 

The investigation is a long, winding road with several wrong turns. Even when the clues make no sense, Alfie and Sebastian refuse to give up. They know they are getting close when they become the killer's targets.

 

‘The Dapper Detective' is an entertaining and suspenseful addition to the series. It felt good to visit with Alfie and Sebastian, feel their love and passion, and become immersed in the suspense and drama in Knott Haven. Thank you, Dez. I'm not ready to say goodbye to Sebastian and Alfie yet. I'm hoping there will be a third book in the series.
